1FounderToolvs Lovable
A cloud app builder that sells credits, or a factory on your desk that uses your AI plan.
Short answer
Choose Lovable for the fastest path from prompt to a hosted app in a browser tab. Choose 1FounderTool if you want the build on your own computer, your own AI subscription doing the work, and your own server at the end.
- Lovable: browser-based, hosted backend (Lovable Cloud), Pro from $25/month for 100 credits
- 1FounderTool: free desktop app, plugs into the Claude, Codex or Cursor plan you already pay for
- Both let you take the code: Lovable via download or GitHub sync, 1FounderTool from any accepted build
- Lovable is mature and team-friendly; 1FounderTool is a public beta built for one founder
1FounderTool
1FounderTool is a desktop software factory for founders. You type one sentence, answer a few questions, approve a plan, and a coding agent from your own subscription builds a Next.js + Postgres app on your machine. You click through it before accepting, then publish to your own server. Free to download and use.
Lovable
Lovable is a browser-based AI app builder. You describe the app in chat and it builds and hosts it, with a built-in backend called Lovable Cloud. Pricing is credit-based: a free tier with daily credits, Pro from $25/month for 100 credits, Business from $50/month.

Choose 1FounderTool if
- You already pay for Claude, Codex or Cursor and don't want to buy credits on top
- You want the code, database and previews on your own computer while you build

Questions
Is 1FounderTool a local alternative to Lovable?
Yes, in the sense that the whole build happens on your computer: the code, the Postgres database and the preview all run locally, and you publish to your own server. Lovable builds and hosts in its cloud.
Do I still need an AI subscription with 1FounderTool?
Yes. 1FounderTool doesn't sell tokens or credits. It drives a coding agent you already have — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others — or your own API key.
Can I export my code from both?
Yes. Lovable offers GitHub sync, plus code download on paid plans. 1FounderTool exports the source of any build you've accepted.
