Currently v0.2.1

Every release,newest first.

The app reads this same feed and updates itself, so you are never more than one restart behind. Nothing here is a roadmap — it all shipped.

v0.2.1

16 October 2026

Public beta

1FounderTool is now free. There is no licence to buy or activate, and every feature works on every computer you install it on.

  • No licence: the Licence section in Settings and the licence row in the setup checklist are gone, and the app no longer checks a licence key. A key you activated before is simply ignored.
  • New website address: the website link in Settings → About now opens 1foundertool.stoicsoft.com.

v0.2.0

13 October 2026

Public beta

Settings now show your version of 1FounderTool, you choose when updates download, and downloads are smaller.

  • About in Settings: a new About section shows your version, checks for updates on request, and lets you download a waiting update or restart to install it.
  • Choose when updates download: turn off “Download updates automatically” in Settings → About to decide yourself when a new version downloads.
  • Smaller downloads: the installers and the installed app are smaller, and the macOS disk image is more tightly compressed.
  • A Licence section in Settings (removed in 0.2.1, when 1FounderTool became free).

v0.1.1

12 October 2026

Public beta

Fixes for first-run setup on macOS and for building and previewing apps that save data.

  • macOS: first-run setup no longer stops at “Bundled pnpm file … failed its integrity check”, and building apps works on a fresh install.
  • macOS: the disk image’s entry in the update feed now matches the published file.
  • Building an app that saves data no longer fails while preparing its database tools, which tried to download a component the build cannot reach.
  • Previews of apps that save data now open; the installed app was missing part of its private data service.

v0.1.0

11 October 2026

Public beta

First public beta of 1FounderTool, for macOS (Apple silicon), Windows (x64) and Linux (x64).

  • Build apps through the conversation-first founder workspace.
  • Review and accept immutable release candidates before publishing.
  • Run local previews and publish accepted builds to a prepared host.
  • Receive 1FounderTool updates automatically from the public release feed.
  • Choose whether to share anonymous usage statistics; nothing is sent unless you opt in.
  • Windows: install, set up and talk with your assistant. Building apps on Windows is not available yet.
  • Linux: needs Ubuntu 24.04 or newer (or Debian 13). Building apps needs bubblewrap, which the .deb installs for you.
